Fresh Flowers in Cotton Bags: EasyKiya’s Attempt to Rethink Everyday Puja Delivery
When a product is delivered every day, packaging becomes part of the experience.
That is especially true for fresh puja flowers. The customer is not ordering a gift for a special occasion. The flowers are going directly into a religious ritual, often within minutes or hours of arriving at home.
EasyKiya is trying to make that daily experience more thoughtful.
The company’s fresh puja flower service starts from around ₹20 per day, with subscription periods of 7, 15 and 30 days. The aim is to make regular flower buying predictable for households that perform puja every day.
Alongside freshness and timing, EasyKiya is working towards cotton-bag packaging instead of conventional plastic packaging for these daily flower deliveries.
It may sound like a small detail, but for a recurring product, small details matter.
A customer sees the bag every morning. The flowers are removed for puja, and the packaging becomes part of the household routine. The company therefore sees packaging as part of the overall service rather than something separate from it.
The same idea extends to what happens next.
After the puja, the flowers become Nirmalya. EasyKiya is developing a next-day doorstep pickup service for subscribers, aiming to make collection more organised.
The result is a different kind of delivery journey.
Fresh flowers arrive in the morning.
The flowers are used for the puja.
The Nirmalya can be collected the next day.
That is a more complete service than simply dropping a packet at the door.
EasyKiya is also adding festival and occasion-based products. Families can pre-plan requirements for Ganesh Chaturthi, Durga Puja, Diwali, Chhath Puja, Satyanarayan Puja, Griha Pravesh, Karwa Chauth, Janmashtami and Holi.
During high-demand periods, advance booking can also help the company plan sourcing and delivery instead of depending entirely on last-minute availability.
Beyond households, EasyKiya is building bulk flower services for weddings, decorations, events and corporate requirements.
The common thread across all these services is the same: the company wants the product experience to respect the purpose for which the flowers are being bought.
For EasyKiya, fresh delivery is only one part of the promise. Packaging, timing, collection and trust are part of the same experience.
Achievement & Startup Journey
The idea of improving everyday puja delivery has been accompanied by a growing set of startup milestones for EasyKiya.
The company was shortlisted among the Top 48 startups from thousands of applications in a TV funding reality-show journey and was featured in Future in Screen Episode 6. It also received an achievement certificate from Ideabaaz Startup at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi.
At K J Somaiya College, Vidya Vihar, Mumbai, EasyKiya received the First Runner-Up award following its final pitch. The startup has also gained exposure to entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems associated with IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Allahabad, IIT Kanpur and MNNIT Prayagraj.
Another memorable part of the journey was a podcast with Bashesh Gala, a business mentor, investor and business coach, where the company’s vision and business journey could be discussed in a more conversational setting.
For the team, these moments are reminders that a consumer brand is built in public as well as behind the scenes — through products, customer feedback, pitches, conversations and the willingness to keep learning.
