Alva’s Education Foundation Welcomes Back Its Own: Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation Shines at Alva’s Pragati 2026
A proud moment for Alva’s as an alumnus returns to create employment opportunities for current students.

When Alva’s Pragati 2026, India’s largest placement drive, concluded on the evening of August 8, 2026, one of the most talked-about moments came from Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation, whose Founder Chairman, Mr. Gunesh Bharathiya, is an alumnus of Alva’s Education Foundation, having completed his pre-university and degree education there.
Returning to his alma mater as an employer, Mr. Gunesh Bharathiya, alongside Ms. Sri Anagha KR of the Foundation’s Advisory Council, handed over tentative appointment letters to eleven candidates selected on the spot. Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation also shortlisted 25 additional candidates during the drive.
The homecoming was warmly acknowledged by faculty members and deans across Alva’s pre-university and degree colleges, as well as by Honourable Chairperson Dr. Mohan Alva and Managing Trustee Mr. Vivek Alva, all of whom expressed pride in seeing a former student return to give back to the institution and its current students.
Gunesh Bharathiya Foundation says this connection with Alva’s Education Foundation will continue to inform its future engagement with institutions and students across the region.
