The Pranaam Bharat Curtain-Raiser, held on 30th August 2025 in Delhi at India International Centre, was not merely an event — it was an experience that stitched together leadership, culture, and national pride.
Conceptualised by pioneering Indian designer Rosy Ahluwalia and Entrepreneur Seema Vashishth, Pranaam Bharat was envisioned as a movement to celebrate India’s creative, cultural, and craft legacies. The curtain-raiser served as a prelude to a larger initiative that will spotlight India’s artisans, designers, and leaders on a global platform.
The evening commenced with the captivating performance of Bollywood singer Shibani Kashyap, whose voice captured the essence of India’s cultural rhythm. What followed was the Power Walk of Pride — a moment of grace and strength that featured dignitaries such as Dr. Shantanu Kumar (IAS), Nisith Pramanik (Former Minister of State for Home Affairs and Youth Affairs), Captain Manjula Katoch, Suveena Thakur (IAS), Flight Lieutenant Sonal Saxena, Bharat Thakur, and Tabish Samuel.
Their presence on the runway symbolised unity across professions and the shared spirit of service to the nation.
Chief Guest Kapil Misra and Guest of Honour Harvansh Chawla, Chairman, BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry, graced the evening, lending their voices to the vision of empowering India’s cultural ecosystem.

One of the standout moments of the evening was the Khadi showcase titled “Cultural Threads of India” by designer Rosy Ahluwalia. Her collection paid homage to India’s weaving traditions while infusing them with global design sensibilities — transforming Khadi into a luxurious and sustainable fashion statement.
Rosy Ahluwalia and Seema Vashishth addressed the gathering, outlining the larger goal of Pranaam Bharat: to create an enduring ecosystem where craft meets commerce, and where artisans find their rightful place on the world stage. Their message was clear — this is just the beginning.
The evening concluded with a warm Vote of Thanks by Manpriya Ahluwalia, acknowledging the support of dignitaries, sponsors, and well-wishers.
In every sense, Pranaam Bharat stood for a new India — proud of its roots, bold in its dreams, and unstoppable in its purpose.
